Meredith Whitney’s Speech Topics

  • Demographics Is Destiny: The Remapping of the US Economy

The US is barely halfway into a multigenerational rebuilding of the economy along State lines, and the contrasts between strong and weak States will only grow stronger in years to come. This will impact how companies make decisions, where people decide to live, home prices, and so much more. In this talk, Meredith Whitney brings her 30 years of Wall Street experience of predicting major long-term secular trends and their implications to lay out why “Where you live” will be one of the most important decisions you make over the next several decades. Demographics Is Destiny.

  • The Silver Tsunami: Is the Great Wealth Transfer a Myth?

There are 10,000 Boomers who turn 65 every day, and by 2030 over 70 million Americans will be over 65. Meredith Whitney brings her 30 years of Wall Street experience as a early identifier of major secular shifts in the US economy to address how the Boomers will have the greatest influence on driving home prices down over the next two decades and likely place unexpected strain on the US government. She will lay out a harrowing scenario of what could be on the horizon with the impending Silver Tsunami.

  • I’m Just a Girl: My Life on Wall Street

From getting fired from her first job on Wall Street because she was “too aggressive,” to landing on the cover of Fortune at 38 years old, Meredith Whitney brings humor and humility to her story of her 30-year career being the best known analyst in the world and one of the few women on Wall Street. Through all of the ups and downs, accolades, honors, and vitriol, Whitney narrates her story of being at the epicenter of nearly every market crisis over the past 30 years, and how being underestimated actually turned out to have been the greatest gift. Audiences are educated, entertained, and inspired after hearing this candid and vulnerable address.
