For many of us, things have felt as though they have been sinking for a hot minute:
On a human level, anxiety and depression are at all time highs, alcohol and drug abuse have skyrocketed, loneliness and disconnection are breaking us down, and the speed of technology and innovation is leaving us scared and lost. We are thirsting for meaning and purpose. We want to feel good again, filled with hope and connected to a community built upon trust, respect, and belonging.
On a business level, we are trying our best, yet still struggling to hire and retain good talent. The tension of remote verses hybrid verses in-person work models is further pulling us apart, thereby challenging our ability to create work culture of inclusion and belonging. All the while, leadership is burnt out and the future of work is a bit blurry and business success hampered.
But I believe there is a solution. It’s called, “Mattering” and it exists right at the intersection of human and business needs. We, humans and companies, are the very answer we are all looking for.

Company Need: People committed to a goal, driven to achieve, empowered to take action, and trusted to make it happen.
Human Need: Connection
Company Need: People who thrive by working in teams and actively protect and create cultures of inclusion, belonging, positivity, and meaning.
Human Need: Growth
Company Need: People looking to learn, grow, and stretch for the benefit of themselves, but also their company.
Human Need: Contribution
Company Need: People who value idea sharing, recognition, and “we” as much as “me.”
