Dr. Seth Rachlin is a social scientist and thought leader dedicated to making work, politics, and life more human through the power of social capital. He turns to this mission after a thirty-year career as an entrepreneur, enterprise technologist, and consulting leader in the financial services industry.
Through two successfully exited fintech start-ups, nearly ten years as a senior executive at global systems integrator Capgemini, and hundreds of consulting engagements, he has had a front-row seat in the digital transformation of work and the workplace—he’s seen how technologies like AI can bring people together or pull them apart.
These insights are at the core of his new book (co-authored with John Burrows), Social Capital at Work: Building the Hidden Asset that Drives Trust, Engagement, and Performance, to be published by Simon & Schuster in November 2026.
Equally comfortable in the boardroom, the lecture hall, or on the convention stage, Dr. Rachlin teaches full-time at Arizona State University.
